I will never know all your triggers. I don’t expect you to know mine.
I won’t know your pronouns, sexuality, nationality, or other background items unless you tell me. I likely won’t ask you about these because it doesn’t matter to how I want to interact with you, respectfully from a place of openness. What you want to share I’ll listen to.
I will never fully know all the experiences in your life that bring you to today.
I will never see through the lenses you wear in full clarity, crafted by those experiences, ever changing each day.
I will hold space for you to engage with things meaningful to you because I can’t allow myself to pretend that I can prescribe what is meaningful for you.
I will continue to support work that enables respectful dialog.
I will care about you.
I will enable you.
I will care about connecting with you.
I will listen to your thoughts feelings and things you want to share.
We are in this together even when we have moments where we don’t agree or understand each other.
